In the year 1905, Italian immigrant Gennaro Lombardi opened the first American pizzeria in New York City. Pizza at that time was only found in the Italian neighborhoods of America. All our recipes are authentic, in most cases they are “borrowed” from someone’s grandfather, aunt, uncle, mother, or father. In Louisiana men do a lot of the cooking. We learned at an early age to eat things that we get from mother nature as well as from the grocery store.
